{"id":8215,"date":"2017-07-06T15:00:47","date_gmt":"2017-07-06T19:00:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.theseventhstate.com\/?p=8215"},"modified":"2017-07-06T14:02:25","modified_gmt":"2017-07-06T18:02:25","slug":"moco-our-revolution-members-push-back-on-early-endorsement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theseventhstate.com\/?p=8215","title":{"rendered":"MoCo Our Revolution Members Push Back on Early Endorsement"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>By Adam Pagnucco.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Washington Post recently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/local\/md-politics\/our-revolution-maryland-moves-toward-endorsing-ben-jealous-for-governor\/2017\/06\/30\/31656120-5dc4-11e7-a9f6-7c3296387341_story.html?utm_term=.5edd74e32312\">reported<\/a> on the Maryland chapter of Our Revolution&#8217;s plans to issue an early endorsement of Ben Jealous for Governor of Maryland. \u00a0Among other things, the Post article said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cA lot of Bernie Sanders\u2019 supporters \u2014 and I was a Bernie Sanders supporter \u2014 were unhappy with the lack of transparency in the DNC process,\u201d said Walter Ludwig, a spokesman for the gubernatorial campaign of state Sen. Richard S. Madaleno Jr. (D-Montgomery), who like Jealous is a progressive hoping to draw support from liberal Democrats. \u201cThis is no more transparent.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Aides to several other declared or likely candidates declined to comment on the record, to avoid a potential rift with Jealous\u2019s supporters.
