(Smondrowski\u2019s opponent, Michael Fryar, has raised no money but was still <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/opinions\/the-posts-endorsements-for-montgomery-and-prince-georges-school-boards\/2020\/10\/02\/6a7af96a-01af-11eb-a2db-417cddf4816a_story.html\">endorsed by the Washington Post<\/a>. MCEA has not endorsed in that race.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But the big story is what I wrote <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theseventhstate.com\/?p=13677\">the last time I looked at these reports<\/a>: these candidates are basically all broke. And that is particularly striking given the fact that at least a half-million people are probably going to vote in the general election this year. It\u2019s impossible to reach that many people on a $20,000 budget (or less).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To MoCo\u2019s state delegation: school board candidates desperately need public financing.
