However, Councilmember Hans Riemer has been busy proving him right by trumpeting terribly inaccurate information regarding positive test rates among Latinos in Montgomery on Facebook:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"473\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.theseventhstate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/IMG_49891-473x1024.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13359\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.theseventhstate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/IMG_49891-473x1024.png 473w, https:\/\/www.theseventhstate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/IMG_49891-139x300.png 139w, https:\/\/www.theseventhstate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/IMG_49891-768x1662.png 768w, https:\/\/www.theseventhstate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/IMG_49891-710x1536.png 710w, https:\/\/www.theseventhstate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/IMG_49891.png 828w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 473px) 100vw, 473px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Except that it&#8217;s not true. Riemer later put out an update to explain that it is incorrect that 70% of Latinos test positive. Instead, 70% of new cases in June were of Latinos. Oops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As Adam Pagnucco <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theseventhstate.com\/?p=13338\">correctly documented<\/a>, Latinos unquestionably disproportionately suffer from COVID-19.
